Here's a bit of background on some of the contributors to this issue:

  • Liz Betz ("The Hoarder Gene") resides in rural Alberta and invites readers to follow her writing journey at I-Write, her aptly-named blog.
  • Gregg Dotoli ("The Day It Rolled Downhill") is a white-hat hacker and poet living in Nutley, New Jersey. Gregg's collection Poetry Fob is available from Underground Books.
  • Frances Koziar ("Circling") is a writer and social justice advocate living in Kingston, Ont. Visit Frances's website at franceskoziar.wixsite.com.
  • Habib Mohana ("The Wedding Dancer") is an assistant professor of English living in Dera Ismail Khan, Pakistan. Habib writes in English and Urdu as well as in his mother-tongue Saraiki.
  • Samih Nassar ("Hockey Dad") writes short films, features and monologues which he occasionally performs "to overcome that biting insecurity so many writers have." Check out Samih's scripts and sketches on YouTube under the name Tower Films Canada.
  • James Nelson ("Mythical Moments") is a writer and cartoonist in Dublin, Ireland. See James's new website, jimnelsonstudio.
  • E. Martin Pedersen ("Thud"), originally from San Francisco, has lived for over 35 years in Sicily where he teaches English at a local university. Martin blogs at emartinpedersenwriter.
  • Alex Pugsley ("Turnaround") is a writer and film-maker originally from Nova Scotia. Alex recently published a novel Aubrey McKee.
  • Michael Talledes ("The Girl with the Pink Font") is a Toronto-based fiction writer looking to publish his debut novel by spring of next year.
  • Steven Tutino (Cover art) is a poet, artist, and personal trainer who is completing an MA in Theological Studies at Concordia in Montreal.
