Thanks for visiting the Spadina Literary Review.

Here's a bit of background on some of the contributors to this issue:

  • Khalid Bekkaoui ("The Cow") teaches English Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies at the University of Fez, Morocco. His books include White Women Captives in North Africa available from Palgrave Macmillan.
  • Elizabeth Bruce ("Dolores") lives in Washington, D.C. This story is part of a collection-in-progress of short stories, each of which begins with the words "One dollar." Her novel And Silent Left the Place is available via Amazon.
  • Pat Connors ("Fallow") lives in Toronto. Pat's chapbook Scarborough Songs was published by Lyricalmyrical Press and he is a manager of the local chapter of 100,000 Poets for Change.
  • Gregg Dotoli ("Come On Dream") is a white-hat hacker and poet whose collection Poetry Fob is available from Underground Books.
  • Tye Kraimer ("The Dollhouse") lives near Christie Pits in Toronto and is preparing an upcoming novel.
  • Elga Mannik ("Istanbul") is the Europe-based associate editor of the Spadina Literary Review. Parts 1 and 2 of "Istanbul" appeared in issues #23 & #24.
  • Dianne Scott ("Demise") is a Toronto writer and poet. You can visit Dianne at diannescott.ca.
  • Richard Sleboe ("Tour de France") lives in New Orleans. An avid cyclist, Richard reports that he was once mistaken for a contestant in the Paris-Nice race.
  • Ajay Tulsiani ("Priorities") lives in Mumbai where he is an editor for Slice of Life Literary Magazine. See some of Ajay's poetry in his collection Romance the Night.
  • Melissa Weiss ("For What It's Worth") is a creative writing student at UBC and co-runs One Button Press in Kelowna, B.C.
  • Eliot Wilson ("There's a Problem") is a journalist and commentator in the UK, US and Middle East. Eliot blogs at reflectionsofasybarite.
